Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after March of 2023.
The win also indicates he has achieved 21 victories at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in Halle in the past months.
His defensive approach and frequent outbursts on court had led commentators to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
He defended four initial chances in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he earned the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
